Being a good NFL Coach and being a good college coach are 2 entirely different things.

I don't care if the guy can recruit. On gameday, in Baltimore, his product stank. I'd be very disappointed if Muschamp was talking about bringing Cameron in. Of course, you would almost expect foolishness like this from Les Miles, so I'm not surprised LSU is doing everything possible to set their program back another 2-3 years with this hire.

Yeah I think you are crazy especially about it setting back LSU. Have you watched LSU's offense the past few years? There is a reason they are changing OC's. That lousy product in Baltimore won a lot of games with him being the OC. They also won the Superbowl with the offense he installed. Who developed that franchise QB? Look at who our coordinator is Brent Pease. You cant tell me Pease has a better resume than Cam Cameron. I have no problem with Pease btw.
I dont think Cam Cameron will be doing that much recruiting the name however should help in their recruiting.

It seems Les and Cam are good friends and go way back together. I think they coached together somewhere.

Yeah...I heard 7 years or something like that. Also, he did a great job in San Diego. It will depend on which Cam shows up.
As a Dolphins fan...I'm just glad he's long gone!

If anything he made Drew Brees look merely good at SD...meaning he severely underachieved. Brees is elite and a legend....and Cam made him look merely "good".

He didn't win them a championship in Baltimore nor was he the reason the chargers were any good. Baltimore won because they had a good running game and a great defense. The Chargers had the same thing. Cam has been lucky to have been on the teams he has been on as a OC. Now he may do ok at lsu but his history in college doesn't favor it. However for Miles I think it's worth the risk.

A small upgarde in LSU's offense is all they want/need.

How many Ravens games did you watch? I watched the better part of all twenty games. He did one of the worst jobs I've ever seen this season, chief. The playcalling was horrendous. There were games over the last two seasons where he was the only one at M&T Bank stadium who didn't realize he had an all-pro 'back to hand the ball off to.
Baltimore's D has been the main reason for all the wins you speak of. Only this year, with the loss of Webb at corner, and Suggs and Lewis missing time, has the defense ever been a liability. Baltimore's defense has always been the main reason they've made it to the postseason.
I hope Cameron becomes the next OC in Baton Rouge.

Quite a fall from NFL head coach to college coordinator.
Big name, sounds like a good hire for LSU, but I recall his inept tenure at Miami, probably fit nicely with LSUs boring offense.

How did Drew Bree's under perform in his first few years of his career? I would love to hear this. Bree's got to the pro bowl with Cameron. In 3 instances Cam Cameron started with a QB at the beginning of their career and they turned into Pro bowlers Brees Rivers and Flacco. People around here dont think anybody is a good hire.

Can anybody also find an instance where anybody has drafted 3 QB's in the league and they all panned out? I know he wasnt the end all say all when they were picked but he was the OC.
