I approve of this class like any sane individual, but it can always be better. That's the nature of college football. Even Alabama could say the same thing. You sometimes miss on guys. Sometimes it's you. Sometimes it's them. That being said, Tunsil or McQuay or Alexander or Bosa or Stevens would have all been welcome additions to this class and they all chose to go out of state. All of which were guys we offered but couldn't get an official visit out of. Is that the fault of our staff? Who knows? The point is, it can always be better. We can celebrate the great class we have coming in while still recognizing that. I'm sure Muschamp does.
Which brings me into what I think a big positive of this recruiting class is that is being overlooked.
Muschamp is going to get better at this, and he's already pretty damn good. He learned at Texas how to pick the guys you need from in the state first, so it's easier to go out of state for guys you want. He's still developing Florida ties. He's only been here 2 years after all. He is still developing relationships. I think it's going to get better next year, and you can see that we've already started off strong with one of the best QB recruits coming here.
Also, we took a bunch of guys out of Georgia this year, so they can suck it.

Of course there is always room for improvement, but you have to think realistically, there is a number of top notch programs were battling with and at the end of the day you cant win them all. Its remarkable how well our staff did this year getting the number of quality guys we got especially considering the programs we are competing with.

I agree. It's important to think realistically when it comes to recruiting. That being said, I think we can realistically expect Muschamp's recruiting of Florida to become easier/better when he has more than just two full recruiting cycles under his belt. Pease's too probably.

Great class! Still think we needed 1 more DE and a FB for the future, and 1 more corner. However we ad those things just didnt go our way. I know we WM will take care of those things this year.

Lol exactly. Perspective, some people need it. "I approve of this post". (Campaigning commercial reference)
