Actually, in so far as RPI rating, which the NCAA selection committee uses, it counts as 0.6 losses. A win on the road is worth 1.4 wins.

According to a Yahoosports writer, Donovan said yesterday that 30 teams have a "legitimate chance" at a final four. I've heard several writers suggest this could be a year where the final four has no one-seeds in it.
