He may be a little rusty, but he won't be sitting around eating ding dongs and beer the whole time.

Other teams have years without injury, why can we have one year-ONE YEAR-without a major injury that throws a wrench into the season?

Considering this isn't always the case, I figured it was worth pointing out. If there was a year for UK fans not to be like this, it'd be a year when UK is playing second fiddle to Florida - like this year.

That's how ALL fan bases should be. Anyone that celebrates another persons injury is pretty ignorant.

I'd rather Kurtz got the playing time over Walker. In the blowout games he seems to be our most capable player outside of our top 8.

Its a tough loss...bit not one that can't be overcome. The team will learn to play without him...
. .but If he does get back...even better

personally, i don't think you rush this injury. 4-6 weeks including rehad seems a bit overly aggressive. might set him up for another tweak of the knee if you come back too soon.

That report is very positive, if, in fact, it is just loose bodies in the knee, those can be scoped out and he will be weight bearing the next day, I know 80 year olds who have been back playing doubles in two weeks after similar procedures, golf sooner, lets hope this goes smoothly, getting Will back before the SEC tourney would be a great boost heading into the post season.

Feel bad for the kid. Seems like a nice guy and does everything that's asked of him. I'm also of the same opinion as Bullis.

It's a routine scoping (clear out loose cartilage) Friday and rehab begins immediately.
I bet he's back mid-March

Please order him lots of the deer antler stuff that Ray Lewis never took.
Not to be too cynical, but I think the timeline for possible return by post-season was to help the Gators seeding. The committee does take injuries into account and if they knew Yuegette was out for the rest of the year, might drop them a seed or two for it. We shall see, but lack of bigs really hurts now - especially against the size of teams like Kentucky.

I called in to Donovans show tonite and asked him to expound on the injury, rehab and timeline. Billy gave a long, detailed answer that is more optimistic than some of the early estimates. He hoped to have him back maybe by the final game of reg. season.

Love what WY brings to the floor, and hope he heals asap.
In between, will somebody else just man up and bring it ?

If today is the 7th and our last game is March 9th, then wouldn't our first SEC tourney game likely be 5 weeks from today... 3 weeks from today is the 28th, the following the 7th and the week after the 14th.
That would give WY 6 weeks to the NCAA tournament and 7 to the sweet 16 (should we make it).
Sorry to contradict...just trying to find any possible bit of hope out of this tough break for WY and the Gators.
