Trevon Young, come on down. Billy Ball needs you right now. We are short of physical forwards who can hold down the post area. I hope Billy gets in on this one. He always has a short rotation, but you need depth and a tough, filled out forward to get in and mix it up would be just what the doctored ordered. Oh yeah, playing football would get you stronger and improve your speed. Man you are still growing, Florida is the right place, this will get you to places you never dreamed.

A 6-5 270 pound basketball playing lineman. 3 stars on Scout and Rivals. Why not? I dont mind the coaches taking a flyer on a big athlete with room to grow.

Young looks raw but he's definitely got the frame. We can afford to take a chance on him developing since we have the OL transfers and JUCOs at DT.

I mentioned on the first page that I wondered if they might offer a scholarship to a kicker or another position they might typically use a walk-on for.

The thing people need to understand about Young is he's only played 2 seasons of football! This guy may not be highly ranked or well known, but I suspect he's got a tremendous upside!

Not many kids move like that with his size. The only problem is he has to buy into football and buy into S & C.

I suspect he has done just that.

My guess is that Muschamp told him he would need to make a choice whether to be a basketball player, where at the division II level, he probably doesn't really have much of a potential future after college, or focus all his efforts on on becoming a football player, where he probably has more potential. He might have even had Donovan talk to him about that.
