And, no, it's not the best example I could find. It's just something that happened today.
More sun relative to the size of the country. Like she said, solar power should work in California. The problem is implementing it nationally in a country much larger and with much more diverse weather patterns than Germany.

Here's the number of hours of annual sunshine in German and U.S. cities. I used the same site for each, to make sure there's a common formula.
Germany ranges 1285-1846
US ranges 2207-3825
In other words, the cloudiest US city on the list gets more sun than the sunniest German city.
Germany
US

Here's what I would do if I were you. Rather than desperately trying to claim the woman was right (just because she was on Fox) I think it'd be a bit more prudent to simply admit she wasn't close.

Wow. Look what you're doing there. And you wonder why I use the term "ankle biting" in reference to some of your posting habits.

There's a discussion about solar power on FOX News. Uh oh. The Liberal watchdogs who "monitor" FOX from their Moms' basements have received their marching orders and know they are supposed to assail any criticism of solar power and other non-fossil fuels. They don't exactly know why, but they're good at following orders.

So now here comes a reporter to discuss the challenges faced by solar power. She gives a long explanation and talks about why it is more prevalent in Germany than it is here. In the course of that she mentions that Germany has more sun relative to it being a small country. Wait, WHAT!?! Germany has more sun? Oooooh, no it doesn't, no it doesn't! Ahhh-HAH! We got you now, FOX News!

Meanwhile lost in the ankle-biting fixation on her one little throwaway comment is the ultimate fact that solar power thus far is not an implementable solution for significantly reducing the U.S. reliance on fossil fuels due to the differences between our country and places like Germany. Whether Germany has more sun or less sun is totally irrelevant to the big picture point that Liberal politicians' support for solar power initiatives is misplaced.

In fact at this point I could post an article saying Germany's push for more reliance on solar power has NOT been as effective as some would have us believe, but you know what you'd say? "Ah-HAH! So that PROVES they don't have as much sun over there! The FOX lady was wrong!! Gotcha!" And then I'd have to go get a Band-Aid for my ankle.

So first you try to claim the woman is right. When that fails, you claim it's unimportant ankle biting.
Maybe you ought to think these things through a bit before first responding.

The woman was right - she just worded her explanation sloppily - and yes it absolutely is unimportant ankle biting.
