I remember Will missed games with concussions last year and that play where he slammed his head pretty hard, did he have any knee problem last year or is this a new injury?
Just wondering. Hopefully even if he's out for an extended period, that it's not a major injury and he gets back to 100% for next year (or maybe even later this year if it's not too bad).

Will broke a bone in his foot in Mid February and was lost for the remainder of the season. We immediately lost to the Poodles and struggled a bit at the end of the season.
However, we got it figured out and wound up with a nice run.

The rumored news about Will is not encouraging.
Gone for quite awhile.

That's what I thought. Obviously I knew he was out, just couldn't remember what knocked him out for the tournament. I didn't think it was the concussions, I was just worried maybe it was the knee and this was a re-occurance of an injury from last year.

This is what I'm afraid of.
We need to get one more big this year even if it is a under the radar prospect. You'll need 4 bigs at any given roster. We better hope that Young comes back next season.

i kinda agree.
i think his role and impression on the game is sometimes understated.
is it possible that we still make a run to atl.? sure.
but significantly less likely, imo.

Agreed. Before we could rely more on defense and hustle plays. Those are more reliable entities that you can perform night in night out. Now we will have to rely on our guards getting hot. Possible? Yes, but it has also failed us the last 2 years.

This team is better than last year's team. This team w/o Yeguete is better than last year's team w/o Yeguete. The rest of the NCAA isn't as good as last year either. We can definitely make it to the Final 4 without Yeguete. Does him being injured hurt our chance? OF COURSE! But the most important factor for us to get to the Final 4 is how we're gelling/playing at the end of the season (assuming no other injuries). If we turn it on like we did the last two seasons, we'll have a very good shot.

Billy Donovan says 4-6 weeks, will be reevaluated at the end of the season. Tough break for this team, and for Will. But if he can get back in time (which he should, if that timeline is correct), it may work out alright. Prather is going to have to step up.

No dominant teams like last year's UK bunch. Kansas stunk it up last night against a team that had yet to win a game in the Big XII.
There's about 15 teams that you could make a strong case for and not get laughed out of the building.

I would say UK last year was not indicative of the entire NCAA.

The word of the season in college basketball thus far has been "parity". Whether or not the lack of dominant teams actually = parity is still up in the air, but that's the way the media is approaching it. A more wide open season than we've seen in recent years, or so they say.
