Lot of talk about sandbagging after the 24. The Shank penalties and fines reflect poorly on GrandAm because everyone was talking about the BMW horsepower advantage. Shank has Fords.
I have some decent pics, but didn't post them because I was the only one posting in this thread.

I'm looking up, because that went over my head.
F1 drivers were the same as everyone else at the 24. I saw a report with lap times and averages for all drivers and % of top lap time for each stint.
I'm sure you will say its because they were driving a dumbed down slowmobile unable to showcase their F1 driving skills.

Martin Whitmarsh has warned that there are too many pay drivers in Formula One
http://en.espnf1.com/mclaren/motorsp...ry/100576.html
A number of teams have employed drivers with financial backing behind them as budgets remain tight towards the back of the grid. Whitmarsh believes the current situation means there are drivers coming in to the sport who are not up to the job, while more talented but less well funded drivers miss out.
"I think, personally, it's sad to have so many pay drivers in Formula One," Whitmarsh said. "The numbers have crept up, and while I'm sure it's good and exciting for those that can afford it, you would hope that in the premier form of motorsport worldwide that you wouldn't have to have pay drivers and that means there are some good young, professional drivers who can't get in and aren't getting in.

F1 drivers uniformly suck at NASCAR. There have been no exceptions. And three years ago, teenager Trevor Bayne tutored Mika Salo (and another driver) and just whipped their asses.

MotoGP Testing began last week in Sepang. Couple of updates.
- Valentino Rossi has returned to Yamaha and finished testing with the third best time.
- Jorge Lorenzo will retain #99 after winning the championship last season.
- Rookie Mark Marquez got quickly acquainted with Honda RC213 and spent most of the test behind favorites Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa.

It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach. I don't want to do that. I have too much love for this University and these players and for what we've built." - Urban Liar

F1 sure had a lot of issues testing in Spain this week. Wrecks, breakdowns, fires. I noticed the pit crew were not wearing safe uniforms when the jackman got hit. Don't understand that at all.
edit: adding an article from USAToday. Excellent read about Richard Petty & Dale Jr with terrific photos.
