I really hope our staff didn't cause this. If so, I agree with most that the kid overrected. However, this is a huge day for these kids, and I can definitely see him being pissed off if his choice was leaked when he asked for it to be kept secret. We'll probably never know what really happened.

He is obviously the sensitive type. Good luck, Bower, delicate flower.

Bower
Call me crazy, but when it was first posted he was coming here (prior to the LSU LOI)this AM, I singled his name out as the one most likely to not pan out or transfer (there's at least one kid every class that just doesn't fit). So when he was "taken off the board" by LSU, I really could care less. I mean, c'mon the kid's from Somerville, New Jersey, what a football powerhouse. To me, Champ seemed to be reaching anyway. We historically fare better with homegrown talent, Easley and Floyd being two obvious exceptions.
Anyone else feel the same way when we learned he was a Tiga?

To me there was a reason staff didn't seem to make him a priority and TB seemed to recognize he wasn't getting the love. Maybe it's just me.

And that may the understatement of the year. I can't remember one that went down in such an odd way.

Jonathan Colon would be the only one that comes close.

Don't forget John Capel, he committed at least six times.

At this point I feel like we have the perception something happened but no proof. I have been away for a few hours so maybe some credible info surfaced.
I did hear it get passed around in chat that Tashawn faxed an LOI. Obviously that wasn't the case or he'd be a Gator. I will be surprised to learn he actually wanted to fax a completed LOI to us but when his surprise become public went to LSU instead.

He was probably LSU all along and someone invented a rumor that he had signed with UF.

That thought had crossed my mind, too. I hope that's not the case, but we may never know.

So has the real story ever come out?
Both LSU and UF sites were reporting on NSD that he had signed with UF. Where did that info come from?
