Tennessee football fans who travelled to Calhoun’s BBQ in Knoxville in honor of National Signing Day this morning were likely there for more than just news about high-profile recruits.

In a clear homage to the “Alabama fax girl” from two years ago, Tennessee Sports Radio hired a lingerie model to update all the players who signed with the Volunteers.

We applaud the initiative — the young woman is quite fetching — but would recommend that if TSR holds similar promotions for future signing days, they should have something with more production value than just a model writing down names on a white board.

Maybe she could hold the names up on placards like a ring card girl? Yes, we’re shameless about this kind of thing.
