That was a comment WM made in reference to our roster, and how he feels about the personnel he's brought in. Great piece of work by Dooley over at the Sun.

There's nothing else that needs to be said. We are in great shape, guys. It may not result in a national championship this year but, looking at the bigger picture, we're loaded for future. I'm sure this is nothing new that hasn't been said a thousand times on Gator message boards today, but it's the truth. Muschamp killed it this year.

You definitely need a top level QB to win an SEC championship or in college football for that matter.

This class filled a lot of holes. Especially at Big DL positions. Bostwick, Brantley, cummings, Reed, Ivie, and Riles will probably all end up inside. Bostwick, Ivie, and Riles could be pretty versatile as well. Lots of options at DL now. The only thing I wish we had pulled is a true pass rusher. Daniel would have been that guy if not for grades.

What is also noticeable, is how Muschamp has absolutely dominated the state of Florida in recruiting the past two years.

He's right. You start with depth and compliment that with as many stars as you can sign. We've completed part 1 of the mission in rebuilding the depth and roster.

2014 can be a year where we reel in a bunch of high-profile guys at DE, OL and the skill positions to compliment our re-stacked roster. Should be a fun class to watch fill out.

Seems to be a masterful job the staff is doing. Another year or 2 and we should be in Atlanta every year.

Agreed! Thin at QB and might have liked to add Clark but overall we are in excellent shape. Wish we had better depth at QB and maybe its better than I realize.

The numbers have been replenished so once coaching, experience and development catches up then you will be looking at a special PROGRAM. Also, watch out for the 2014 class, do not be surprised if that class is as good if not better than 2013. Grier, Dawson, Bronson & Valentine is a heck of a start. All premier players at their position.

I haven't seen Skyler on the field very much but I would feel very comfortable with Tyler in as QB. In the two Spring games I have seen him play in i was very impressed with him on the field. Of course, no one wants Driskell to go down but it would not make me fall apart with Tyler and Skyler.

If Muschamp says we're back to where we need to be, then that's all I need to know about today. I'm proud of the way he and his staff evaluate each prospect's value across a variety of areas - including attitude and whether they are a good fit in the locker room.

That coach won't compromise his integrity to sign a lot of star power is fine with me. Moreover, I think he is particularly adept at identifying the high performers on the field who he also thinks have a high probability of being at least above average performers off the field. Will he make some errors sometimes? Sure, but he's already proven he's prepared to dole out consequences. I LOVE the direction our PROGRAM is headed!

Not true, Alabama wins without star QBs. Their system imo doesn't require the QB to carry the load, but more to make good decisions, then helps the QB immensely with a super run game and tricky set of plays(bootlegs/screens). Their OL helps a lot as well. They stretch the field with WRs usually after they've pulled off some plays that make the LOS seem like where the action is.

The last time we won the SEC we rode the broad shoulders of an amazing QB whereas Bama tends to beat you with good solid play from a number of positions. Looks like we're getting there but we have to have improvement from the QB position, play calling, coordination to become really hard to beat.

Would like to know how to quantify that. I was thinking today how it appears uga really lost out on the cream of the crop in their state, but I couldn't figure out how to prove it.

Any idea where a ranking of talent by state might be?

Then I'll use some site's search function to see where they went. Should be interesting.

Yes, true. CWM and his staff have done an amazing job. We had a good class last year as well, top to bottom talent. But I think it's going to take one more. Not to mention, most of last year's class are RSF or SO going into the season. They are still very young. This class has yet to play a game in the SEC. I'm tempering my expectations, but if 2013 is close to 2012's success staff will have a track record, the spotlight, the University, and the need for more great players to step up and get us there.

Would like to know how many EEs we can take to back into this class.

I think a chance at a championship would go bye bye if Jeff got hurt, but Will has built a team that will compete regardless of the quarterback situation.
