the same reason SEC fans claim alabama is cheating every year when they win all these titles. It goes with the territory---envy and jealousy.

oh wow! Asiantii Woulard to UCLA. Was hoping he would get back on board with USF so I could watch a couple of his games.

heh, ESPNU reporting that Alex Collins mom took his LOI and ran away. LOLOLOLOL!
She does not want him to attend a school so far away.
She literally took his papers and left the school...

No, I like our current guys, I mean something that they do on the field- if Demarcus busts out like Percy or Sammy Watkins that would do it- but until then we don't really have an offensive thing to point to as a selling point.

It's great that we signed all our verbal commits but how come the Gators never seem to pull off any of those last-minute signing day steals? In fact to the contrary it seems like one or two of ours usually get stolen, but I'm glad that wasn't the case this year.

I can just picture that. Seems kind of funny to me, but if I was the kid, I'd be a little embarrassed. Something like this does seem to happen every year. Eventually you just have to let go.

I mean, we got 2 players today that were not previously committed... on top of every recruit we already had... And we have a few spots left with about 5 hours to go.
Wait till around 5pm and maybe we'll get another one. That's about the time that the kids who are wavering send in their LOI to another school.

I hope you're right but even if it happens there's no denying that it would be the exception to the rule. Just wondering what it is about UF that seems to make it an unlikely destination for the type of players who like the hype and drama of a signing day switcheroo. Maybe that's not a bad thing though. You could say the decision to attend UF tends to be a thoughtful and deliberate one rather than impulsive.

You hit the nail on the head. It seems like, the best kids in the state of Florida who want to play for UF typically commit early. They have their minds made up. The same can be said for the Florida kids who sign with FSU and Miami. They have their favorite in-state school, and that's that.

Sad face.

Anyone see James Clark article? " I thought OSU was a greater opportunity for me, than just the school two hours away down the road "
Why must they all get arrogant after not picking Florida? Have fun losing with Meyer...

I wouldn't call it arrogance. I'd call it him being truthful. One school has 5 WR's committed and the other only has 1. If he wants an opportunity to play right away, then obviously, Ohio St. was his best choice.
You can say all you want about kids being scared of competition, but at the end of the day, this kid has the NFL on his mind, and although it sucks to say, Ohio St. is a better fit.
As far as losing with Meyer?? I don't think so. The dude just took Ohio St. undefeated in his first year. If they didn't have sanctions he could have possibly played in the National Championship...
I know it's NSD... but let's get real... even for 5 minutes.

Don't hate on the guy and Meyer hasn't lost a game in nearly 3 and a half years at this point.

Well, so much for the kid's concerns about academics, IMO, and what it boiled down to really was about slimmer playing opportunities at UF.
That's OK and I totally understand how a kid can make that decision.

I think he meant to say "have fun winning games and getting your azz whooped in the national title game by a SEC power"
