Up 21-12 at the under 12. Track meet so far that mostly seems to be favoring us despite Alabama's quickness advantage. Also 3 for 3 from 3 so far.

43-23 at the half. Probably the best half we've had all year; easily the best half we've played in the last month.
Halftime stats:
Mercer 10 pts (5-7 FG), 5 reb
Svete 9 pts (3-4 3pt)
Moss 8 pts, 3 asts
Bonds 7 pts
George 2 pts, 4 reb, 4 asts, 3 blk

55-32 with 15+ to go. We have 4 players in double figures and are shooting 60%. Just need to maintain focus and cruise to the finish line in this one.

87-54 final. Very comprehensive performance. Seems like a different team from the past 3 weeks.
Final stats:
Mercer 18 pts, 11 reb (both career highs, I think)
Bonds 16 pts
Moss 14 pts, 7 reb
McIntyre 12 pts
Svete 12 pts (4-6 3pt)
Lewis 6 pts, 8 reb
George 4 pts, 8 reb, 7 asts(!!), 3 blks
Next game for the team is at Auburn next Sunday - a good chance to get a road win coming off this momentum building win and having a bye week.

Great to see Mercer growing up some on the court. Moss seemed to get out of her funk a bit as well. It is still not too late to be an NCAA team though it is going to be tough. The next game at Auburn is crucial though....regardless if the team can just gain some experience and grow together they will definately be in the WNIT and I would almost prefer seeing them go.there and make a run at it than get a tough draw in the NCAA. Gaining experience and confidence is what this year is about. People who follow the program close knew this year was going to be up and down with all the youth....this team is Sweet 16/Elite 8 material next year though. Only George leaves and Mercer may be a George clone....add in Peoples, Cooper, Bannister, Williams, and Dimaite....I can't wait and wish the people who bash Amanda but don't follow the sport would lay off.

Mercer seems to be playing w/ loads of confidence now.
Moss has some great hoops saavy. lots of confidence, just needs to make the shots/needs to finish. today, those shots dropped.
needles is gaining confidence at running the offense.
JT bonds is the main pg and is fearless on the drives.
McIntyre's height really helps on the boards and she's almost automatic w/ the little turnaround and is an asset at the free throw line.
Svete was hitting from the outside - funny: watched her in warmups and she seemed to be missing alot, but, hit 'em in the game!
pretty good crowd today in gen admission section. got treated to an impressive win!
