Not with five WRs already on board, but we want him very, very badly and he would be the feel good commitment of the year if he puts on a Gator hat on NSD. Great talent and a great kid.

Depends on what kind of college player he becomes. We need playmakers. If he becomes a big playmaker in college, I would say he was a need.
I want and need him.

I am loving his Dad and their connection.
Family is everything, and this kid has got it. What a bright future.

Thats exactly what I was thinking but the comparison that came to my mind was Torrey Smith. Every time I watch Smith just blow by people I always comment that he doesn't look like he's moving that fast and Clark gives me that same vibe. I would love to have him as a Gator!

If we could land a third good wr in this class, it would be great. It might give the passing game a chance.

He brings a unique skillset to the WR class.
-D. Robinson is a receiver that can run every route, is big, and strong.
-A. Fulwood will be a great possession receiver but needs to put on weight.
-A. Bailey is a very shifty slash type player that can create problems for defenses. Not great top end speed, but someone that can keep the sticks moving forward.
-C. Thompson is a burner. Perhaps not as polished as a receiver, and probably redshirts for that reason. His top end speed is great.
-Marqui Hawkins is another strong receiver. Route running not polished like Robinson, but perhaps strong enough to contribute right away.
-James Clark is a burner, but has a skill feature that is better than our other receivers comparatively. His first step. He goes from zero to top speed faster than our other speed receiver(s) in this class. This has play-maker written all over it. So, IMO, we need a player like that.
In Christ forever,
Mike

I think we already have at least three good ones in this class, possibly five. Fullwood is probably the highest ranked, but is not as ready to take the field as others. Robinson and Hawkins are the most physical and closest to being ready for PT. Bailey is a great athlete and will probably become a great receiver. Thompson is the fastest player in the class at this point. I would argue that Clark would be the sixth good wr in this class. He could turn out to be the most exciting.
Stated this in a thread several weeks ago, but we signed six WRs in '93 and all but one ( the highest rated of the group) had good to great careers. Four of them had 1000 yard seasons. Three were picked within the first two rounds of the draft. Two went in the first round in the same year.
The reason we're trying to sign six this year is there has been little development among the WRs currently on the roster. We need quality and quantity. You never really know about quality until you get them on campus. Quantity just increases the probability that you'll have at least one or two who will become playmakers.

It would be nice to be known as the one college that will always have good receivers again.

I'd say he's a need as well seeing how we haven't had any playmakers. The number we have committed is irrelevant seeing how they haven't done anything on the field yet.
