went to the match. have to say, it was tighter than 7-0 indicates. baylor has some quality players. like us, had players that smoked the shots and others w/ more finesse, just not quite at the same level.
morgan dominated. cercone dominated but it was tight early. embree was in a struggle, seemed to have alot of breaks and alot of deuce games.
oyen has reshaped her game from what i remember last year, she seems to go all out on the ball - sorta like mather did.
collins had a tough draw the way her opponent was pounding the ball, but prevailed.
embree and jano prevailed, each in a tiebreaker. instead of playing out the 3rd set.
good test for the gals.
i think following the match on the score ticker can sometimes be more stressful than watching live.
