Yes. Honestly I would rather not be #1 right now.

You may not be number 1 in the polls but by goodness you are the best team in the nation as of February 2nd. I don't care what others think you are on another level and I for one is happy for you guys!!

Definitely. We should get some additional first-place votes, too, though a win by Michigan would keep them decidedly ahead of us.

If we are #1 or #2 it really doesn't matter to me. What does matter is there is still a lot of room to improve and that is where our guy's focus should be.

and you know that is the message Billy gave them in the locker room and will reenforce at practice - they made lots of mistakes but they are coming together and maturing as a team, he has to be pleased with that.....

We didn't get the ball inside as much as we need to. But we had enough offense in spite of it. Only three free throws is not enough. But I called for better ball security and better free throw shooting. Ball security was better and we did go three for three so that's an improvement.

Thank the refs for that. There is no way we had only 2 shooting fouls

Rankings don't matter. What matters is humiliating Kentucky.

Billy inferred as much in his post game comments.

I hope not #1. They have a way of getting knocked off this year.

we will be 2 or 3 , im concerned that we will get over confident if we are ranked #2 , we just need to stay focused and hungry....

Polls don't really matter in basketball. I would prefer we not be #1, but it could be inevitable. This team is on a roll.

I agree about the poles. We are playing the best as of now and I hope it continues. That being said we should be # 2.
Ps. Hell of an atmosphere tonight!

You mean if we can't SWEEP Kentucky, or if we can't beat them at our place? I'd be pretty disappointed if we lost to ANYBODY at home at this point.
@ Rupp is still going to be our toughest game this year, and actually if we keep "rolling" in the SEC that game probably gets amped up even more. Imagine if UF are #1 and 17-0 going into that game. No doubt it would be UK's most amped up crowd of the year by far. If that scenario plays out it would be a tough game to lose, but with the SECT and NCAAT being far more important I wouldn't really be thinking too much about the UK game win or lose. If we beat them but then don't win SECT or lose early in NCAAT then it would be far more disappointing.
