Great players seem to have the head and heart for competition so whoever is a quick learner and who wants and fights for the ball and runs good routes, then book it!

All the stats in the world don't mean much until they're on the field and competing and whoever is hungry to play. Think Eye of the Tiger!

If Jeff takes a step forward in the passing game and the line is improved over last year as the coaches have indicated it will be, then I fully expect at least one freshman receiver to make a significant impact this year. Something along the lines of 20-25 catches.

Honestly I thinkk we've been underrating our WR/TE corps for years to make our QBs look better- if Jordan Reed makes a roster that will mean we've had a least 1 NFL caliber target every season in recent memory, give our targets a more decisive triggerman and I don't think we would look at them the way we do- its like how Michael Crabtree looked like a bust until the 49ers put a QB willing to take chances down the field in-- if your QB only pulls the trigger when guys are wide open (and generally stationary) then you're going to have a lot of drop backs where no one is "open enough" every single game.
