Who Runs the World?
But, but, but, this just can't be. Everybody knows politicians run the world. The TV says so.
Quote:
Does a shadowy group of obscenely wealthy elitists control the world? Do men and women with enormous amounts of money really run the world from behind the scenes? The answer might surprise you. Most of us tend to think of money as a convenient way to conduct transactions, but the truth is that it also represents power and control. And today we live in a neo-feudalist system in which the super rich pull all the strings. When I am talking about the ultra-wealthy, I am not just talking about people that have a few million dollars.
As you will see later in this article, the ultra-wealthy have enough money sitting in offshore banks to buy all of the goods and services produced in the United States during the course of an entire year and still be able to pay off the entire U.S. national debt. That is an amount of money so large that it is almost incomprehensible.
Under this neo-feudalist system, all the rest of us are debt slaves, including our own governments. Just look around - everyone is drowning in debt, and all of that debt is making the ultra-wealthy even wealthier. But the ultra-wealthy don't just sit on all of that wealth. They use some of it to dominate the affairs of the nations. The ultra-wealthy own virtually every major bank and every major corporation on the planet. They use a vast network of secret societies, think tanks and charitable organizations to advance their agendas and to keep their members in line. They control how we view the world through their ownership of the media and their dominance over our education system.

There doesnt need to be a vast conspiracy for concentrated wealth to have outsized power and influence. I mean, that's almost self-evident. Besides, wouldnt the "winners" in your anarcho-capitalist society enjoy the same (and arguably more) priviledges and power over others?

That's great, but what does it have to do with the article posted?

I don't see how. Under the current system, wealthy people can buy up control of a legal monopoly on the use of aggressive force (government). Under anarchy, no such monopoly would exist for them to control and hide behind.

Whoever it is, God should punish them, but he's too busy punishing America for its homosexuals, same-sex marriage, inability to pray in school (I thought a person could pray anywhere), and so forth and so on.
Come to think of it, I think all of that stuff is a conspiracy, managed by those who run the world, to distract God's attention.
How can we give God a wake-up call?

Indeed.
The uber-wealthy are uber-wealthy because they can afford to spread their wealth around.
Even IF the government model of social organization was completely abandoned, unless one is presuming the complete and total collapse of every bank/financial institution known to man (whereupon *everyone* would suffer, not just the uber-wealthy), then the uber-wealthy will still have access to vast amounts of money--from which they can buy anything under the sun...and without anyone really being able to stop them.
Additionally, even IF one presumes the complete and total collapse of every bank/financial institution, the uber-wealthy also have a lot of other economic assets that would increase in relative value: real estate, jewels, precious metals, etc...the uber-wealthy have those in stock too.
And, it must be added, that in order to avoid such scenarios in an anarcho-capitalist universe, it must entail violence on some level: either exterminating those with wealth and seizing their assets...or just seizing their assets by force. Which is pretty much what anarchy would inevitably descend into anyway.

God said when you take on debt you automatically create am master-servant relationship. Proverbs 22:7. This is OUR mess to clean up!
I say we only honor the debts to foreign countries and have the government give the middle finger to the FED since it is all bogus anyway. That is the answer and it may be painful and confusing for a while, but we will endure.
Lastly, we either need to be disciplined enough as a society to not borrow again....or even better, no money at all. No matter what economic model a country adopts, the money supply can be manipulated if currency is used.
Can people learn to think of new ways of defining profit?
