I think the thread was more rhetorical than anything. The point is that Frazier can shoot the ball and is a great asset on the court who has been ahead of the curve this year for a freshman.

The thread was a bit rhetorical and was posted just before falling asleep after watching the game on the computer. I had just watched a couple of highlights and noted that his shots barely even touch net.....but, it was interesting to see just how well many of our freshman have shot the ball and that it is not always an indicator of future stardom. Time will tell I guess

Since this thread is about shooting, when it comes to a wide open layup I can't remember anyone as good as Brent Wright but I certainly would like Frazier in that situation.

75 footers I give the edge to Parsons.

And to the OP...no doubt on MF2

Coach Burno told me before the season that he was THE MAN.

Said he excelled at not just shooting, but coming flying off picks, squaring, and shooting with the exact same form and silkiness as when he's warming up.

Said we got a major league player.

I think the coach is confused major league player kind of a weird choice of words for a ball

nice to go thru memory lane, though. i like the re-education too.

loved everything beal brought to the game, and frazier is certainly approaching that w/ this effort off the glass as well as 3 pt shooting, and he's getting some nice assists too. his defense is blending in w/ the rest of the gators.

walker
roberson/walsh
nelson
weeks
tupay etc.
good memories all.

That's what Dupay's new line of toupees will be called

I agree this thread has provided some education, particularly to those like me with short and unreliable memories. I remembered more the players like Beal and maybe Boynton and a host of others whose outside shooting seemed to suffer a bit as they made the transition from high school to college. But, probably because it disappointed me, I keenly remember how well Knight shot the threes as a freshman for UK

It was good to see the stats on all the Gator freshmen that did shoot well "from downtown" in their first year on campus. Fond memories for all!

I agree that Miller and Beal were our best freshmen under Donovan - and maybe ever. But, Frazier is shooting the rock (apologize for the Vitale expression) superbly for a freshman. If he keeps getting wide open looks the rest of the season, I could see him getting that percentage up quite a bit higher!!!!

Now I'm a little curious what Roberson's percentage was as a freshman. Hmmmm...
