What do you mean? If you were already paying for insurance, you don't pay the tax. Moreover, the indirect costs to you (in the form of ER costs absorbed) are transfered (via a new tax) to some degree to those who arent contributing or won't contribute at all. The people that do buy insurance now will be paying into the system even more so, offsetting other costs.

There have been many times in my younger years when I didn't have insurance because it didn't make sense. Requiring everyone to carry health insurance is just flat out wrong. We have tons of illegals going to the emergency rooms to get free health care and Obamacare doesn't do a damn thing to address that problem.
