Of course it is. A lot of folks on the far left were miffed that he wasn't as outrageously liberal as them his first term. Now that he can be openly outrageously liberal they like him more.

All that matters is where he is for the mid terms and what he leaves Joe or Hillary in 2016. His approval rating at this point in 2009 was probably higher than it is now and by the midterms he got shellacked. The day to day stuff doesn't mean much other than bragging rights, it's like the bball being ranked 4th right now - that doesn't get us much other than some pub.

Unfortunately we have spawned several generations of hero worshipers whose daily dose of info includes People Maganzine, Regis, Housewives and Jersey Shore. The clueless, uninformed, mooches and government dependent have elected and re-elected the guy who Historians will look back on as the worst POTUS in History making even Jimmy Carter look wise and Patriotic.
As Rome burns (with historic long term unemployment, record deficits and no budget) Numbnuts begins his second term focused on Immigration, Gun Control and Gay Marriage. Go figure.
