Oyen has definitely improved her game and is one of the better players on the country, but those rankings at the start of the year are always screwy. Embree is still a better player, and there is a lot of talent out there all over the country.
This year has a chance to be one of the best NCAA tourneys ever.....there are at least 8 teams that have a legit chance to win it all. The quarters, semis , and final should be epic.
Key for UF will be the ability of the freshmen Collins and Morgan to win, hopefully in the middle of the lineup. That will allow Jano, Hitimana and Cercone to play 5/6 slots where their games are better suited.
UF plays 3 of the contenders in February...Duke, NC and Stanford. Should be great tennis. Last year Stanford destroyed UF in the regular season but UF went on to win the title.
