What's your problem? I love it when the students do the left, right, left, right, etc., routine to a player who fouls out. I think it's hilarious and I don't recall it ever causing one of our players to miss a free throw.

I do too. It's been a tradition here for a long time. Most of the time when it's happening the free throws are a non-issue anyway and we have the game well in hand.
I find it more annoying when the opposing player will try to shuffle step to avoid the chant and throw off the fans LOL

I wasn't aware of the practice, but it seems like the player fouling out would go to the bench well before a FT is attempted. No?

I think the left right thing is ok, I guess. It's just that everybody does it. I mean, it's kind of played out.

I have been to lots of games in the rowdy reptiles section and it does happen every now and then that the opposing player times his walk to try to mess with the shooter when students are screaming "left, right, left..." and they also try go get the big "SIT DOWN!!" as our player shoots... However, students have picked up on it and will quiet down if they see this happening. I know when I have been there the section has gone quiet and if anyone was still making the chant we would shush them.

According to this article, Henderson tested positive for cocaine, weed, and alcohol in January of 2012.

But there is more to his behavior off the court than has been publicly revealed. Although it has been reported that he spent 25 days in jail last spring for violation of the terms of his probation stemming from a 2010 forgery charge related to counterfeit money, court documents obtained this week by USA TODAY Sports detail why that probation was revoked. In January of last year, he tested positive for cocaine, marijuana and alcohol, according to the records provided by the Tarrant County, Texas, District Attorney's office through a Freedom of Information request.
Those tests follow incidents in 2011 when he failed to meet other terms of the probation, such as community service

Sounds like quite the follow up to trying to buy weed with 800 fake dollars. What a guy.

I'm guessing that he was busted by an undercover cop and he was lucky that it wasn't the real deal. It would be very hard for Henderson to be launching threes with missing fingers.

I just had a vision of Rosario beating Henderson's head against the floor.

Henderson had his jump the shark moment during the UK game. After throwing ice back into the stands and jawing with his own fans....well......the kid is a very, very loose cannon. The team wasted so much energy on rediculous things. They were all in emotionally and eventually crashed. It would not suprise me that they come out Saturday flat as a pancake.

Here's the biggie though. Henderson gets his 19.2 ppg on 106 for 273 shot attempts while KB gets his on 78 out of 184 shot attempts. In other words Henderson, as has been noted, is a volume shooter. His overall shooting percentage is less than Kenny's and he has taken over 90 more shots.
Is he a good shooter? I would say yes, but he is no better than SW, KB, MR, MF II or EM and everyone of those listed players shoots a higher percentage than he does.

The kid is Mike Rosario before he found Billy Donovan.

Funny, I thought the exact same thing while watching that game. Period though that may be a little unfair to Mike, he never was a bad kid just cocky

Yeah, I get the comparison to a degree but Mike was never involved in stuff like Henderson was.
Mike seems like he's a good guy. He just had some growing up to do.

I was thinking more along the lines of their games. Rosario at Rutgers was a volume shooting, no defense, offensive minded, basketball player. But look at him now. Born again hard.

Don't like the Rosario comparison. Just because Mike used to be a shoot first gunner, there were never any indications that he was an outright douchebag and especially not a criminal.

Mike came out of a great high school program with a legendary coach who knows what he's doing.
Henderson wouldn't have lasted five minutes in that program before being shown the door.
