Methinks there was more than soy sauce involved.

Maybe he wishes he had a tight end.

It's probably neither a big mystery nor a big deal in the locker room who is and who isn't.

Seriously doubt he was the only gay guy in the NFL during his tenure. Honestly the most striking thing was how much weight he's lost since retiring- 240 for a longtime tackle, that's a guy who probably wont keel over with from a heart attack 10 years after retiring.

Stuff like this cracks me up, there are almost surely gay guys on most teams in the league statistically speaking, yet it's treated like a Bigfoot sighting when stuff like this comes out. This see no evil hear no evil charade we generally treat this issue with in sports is a waste of everyone's time.

I dont know about that. This article just came out in December.

Former Angels outfielder Torii Hunter, among baseball’s most thoughtful and intelligent players, isn’t kidding when he says an “out” teammate could divide a team.
“For me, as a Christian … I will be uncomfortable because in all my teachings and all my learning, biblically, it’s not right,” he says. “It will be difficult and uncomfortable.”

Guys aren't coming out in locker rooms and many of the straight players prefer it that way.

Wonder if he has a problem with working on Sundays, tattoo's or eating shrimp? How about adultery? The Bible doesn't like these things either. If people want to be bigots, that's fine.. But don't hide behind religion as the reason.

Shrimp doesn't keep real well in the desert climate absent refrigeration. No wonder that they had a religious edict against it. Same thing with pork. Same thing with adultery (well nothing to do with refrigeration, but it can disrupt the smooth functioning of tribal society)

bigotry-
noun, plural big·ot·ries.
1.
stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.
2.
the actions, beliefs, prejudices, etc., of a bigot.
"Stubborn and complete intolerance" is quite different from merely being uncomfortable with the thought of having a gay teammate. If you're going to throw a word like "bigot" out there, at least put it in proper context. Because our society plays a dangerous game with people, like Hunter or Lewis, when we tell them that they're something they're really not, simply because we can't handle an opposing view.
