I think everything we see in the way of vitriolic venting from USC fans shows that this player is a good one. Additionally, we have to appreciate the perspective of Gamecock fans. They are new to the world of competing for the best recruits. They haven't had a two consecutive decades of watching REFsu tell kids to hide commitments to inflict maximum damage on rivals the way we have.
It's kind of sad watching the harsh world of recruiting crash their dream world of honored verbals.

The highlights show that when he hits, the runner goes down. Right now.
Good stuff, and welcome aboard young man. Good choice.

Yup, nice tackling and he seems to have a knack for shedding blocks.

I like how, when he blitzs or reads the run and charges into the backfield, he is like a heat seeking missle!! He looks lighting quick in those clips. He is quicker from the LB position to 10 yards into the backfield than most WR's or RB's are getting from the backfield past the D line. Looks Very aggressive! AND Impressive.
On a couple of his hits - the RB just laid there on the field afterwards or stuff - including the ball went flying. Great athletisism. Love the speed on the routes and the pass catching ability. Maybe the coaches were tired of seeing our LB's drop so many INTS!!
;-) LOL!!

We might see those two playing together for only one season. Morrison looks like an early entry and Rolin won't play until 2014.

With his size and not playing next year, I could see him become a DE almost clowny good. With his height he could weigh 255 and with his speed he would be a OT nightmare.

Why would you compare him to Beal?

Well if this kid grows and becomes a DE, zip hope he has on-field reckless abandon, like Clint Mitchell had. Give me a QB harrassing nightmare at DE, any Saturday. Welcome aboard Mr. Rolin.

Looks like a beast: impressive instincts, speed, tackling ability--and patience. There were a few times when-rather than biting on the zone read-he slowed his run, broke down, and then exploded to the ball carrier when the ball was handed off. A maturity that belies his years.

I wish he was going to be healthy enough to play next year. The Gators could use somebody on the field with Morrison's fierceness and instincts. Hope he regains all his athleticism after the surgery.

I looked through several pages on AR but I didn't see any postings about surgery or updates along that line.

Matt Rolin enrolled early on 1.9.2013. He has selected to wear jersey #9.
