Long way to travel as a 1 seed. That would suck. Good thing we all know Lunardi sucks at his job!

Yes, regardless of the seeding if we get round two against Georgetown, that would be fun.

Not that these projections matter much, but that wouldn't be too bad. Remember, the first two rounds are the pod system and as a 1 seed would be as close to home as possible. The second weekend doesn't have a location close to home anyway (DC, Indy, N. Texas). And the Final Four is Atlanta, which, if we get there, would be swarming with Gators....

Huh? Isn't he like 99.9% at nailing the teams that get in?

Nah, that's that guy that calls all the electoral college victories correctly.

31 teams are auto locked into the tourney. Another 28-30 are usually locks that everyone agrees on. Lunardi basically has to guess which of 6-7 bubble teams get the last 3-4 at-large spots. Not exactly rocket science. And some years he doesn't even do that very well. But to the average person "predicting" 61/64 looks impressive.

Yep.
Amateurs who pay close enough attention can do as well (or better) than he does. I got 67/68 teams right last season... It ain't that difficult.

Don't believe the ESPN hype about Lunardi. Every year among the bracketoligists he ranks near the middle or bottom of those predicting teams in, seeds, and locations.

Too much credit. I think one in the past 8-10 years he landed in the middle. He was dead last at least 3 or 4 times and near the bottom the rest.
He is particularly horrid at pickin the seeding and region compared to most.
He is inept even by ESPN standards which is saying a lot. If they didnt invest so heavily in marketing him he would be gone. however now they have no choice but to keep him
Because they legitimized him. Fools.

for me, at least, i just like the fact that he started doing these mock brackets before alot of other people did them, espn picks him up and, well, to me it's entertainment. something i love to keep an eye on. watch the teams shuffle around, who's seeded where, what the bubble teams get popped etc. it's for entertainment and discussion, especially at this time of the year. i don't take it seriously.

A lot of BB to be played out but yes these bracketology comments are entertaining to say the least.
