It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach. I don't want to do that. I have too much love for this University and these players and for what we've built." - Urban Liar

Geez Louise, didn't this happen at a halftime show for SC basketball? Crowd desperately needed entertainment. I'm not sure people spinning around bats and running to a finish line would work on the hardwood.
Once he retires, my interest in college football will likely drop dramatically.

Any USCe fan that sits thru the entire BB game ought to get $100. Spur's might be on to something.

spurrier will never win an sec title or national title at usc---he must stay around because he gets bored playing golf year round---he probably has $50 million banked, so it can't be for the money.

He continues to beat UGA. Probably his most satisfying part of the USCe stint thus far.

So South Carolina, who is historically crappy is mentioned in the same company as Stanford and Oregon which are also historically crap teams. Sounds about right. You ain't "new money" till you win a natty, guys.

You need to be a politically connected coach to win the mythical national championship. Spurrier is just handing out money like all the other heavy hitters do these days, except they give it to players.
There are no true national champions in college football. It's all politics and it's only getting worse. Can anyone recall a team that has won two in a row despite losing at home both years. That used to be an automatic knock out blow.

So you are a Spurrier fan, not a Gator fan? That's a shocker...

He's .500 against UGA while the Head Cock.
And before I'd go around bragging about my program I'd beat crappy Auburn.
He's won a few in a row. Using your logic Richt must be pretty satisfied against the Gators.

He would coach circles arount richt.
He has won as many SEC championsips at USC as RIcht has at GA.
He is competing with the top programs, on any given Sat., in the SEC.

Yeah, we're all better off once perhaps the most comedic, entertaining and approachable head coach in all of football is gone.
Ridiculous.

I mean even other fan bases love this guy (when he's not beating them on the field or in recruiting).
