Some of the fans didn't/don't realize that Prado was going to be asking too much after this season to resign. It was already stated that the Braves would've had to choose between him and McCann and there's no way we let McCann go. We just solidified the best outfield in baseball and got a good player to take over 3rd for chipper. Martin Prado was a fan favorite and a good player but this was a trade that had to be made and I believe it just put the Braves over the top.
I actually saw a fan post something to the extent that there's no fan loyalty and that its just a business. I was like DUH their fan loyalty is trying to make the best decisions to win titles. This is one of them. Hopefully it works out.

I'm a big Braves fan and I love the trade. I liked Prado but the Braves became a better team with that trade. That is what matters.

Justin Upton could be a perennial MVP and he's locked in for a few more years. I'm also thinking having him in Atlanta will help make BJ a better player.

I liked Prado to. But the Braves got younger and stronger. We lost Chipper to retirement and 2013 could be last yr for Mac. Braves needed a big bat and they now might have best of in MLB.

Braves fans opinion of Prado was highly inflated. I couldn't believe how many were distraught about trading him for a potential MVP.

Yeah, Prado was gone after this year anyway. Now the Braves have the best outfield in baseball locked-in for at least 3 years. Great job by Frank Wren.

Prado was solid and one of those do anything guys fans love. But he has limited upside. The Uptons are hardly sure things but they have so much upside and they are young. That's a potentially very dangerous outfield.

I've heard the negative that this will be a lineup that strikes out alot. But, it is also a lineup that will score a lot of runs. At the end of the game they count up runs not strikeouts. So, I'm cool with it.

I loved the trade, hate to see prado leave but he was out the door next yr anyway. We just got substantially better in the outfield, and if those bats come back to life this coming year everyone better watch out.
