Not surprising when you consider special effects. Those would be the two that would be the most costly.

Superman is costly and They'll have him. I know, I know, but I don't think you can have Bats and Supes without MM and WT.

It's always a factor.
You're already on the hook for Supes' flying, Bat's gizmos, GL's ring and whatever they do with WW.
Now throw in Aqua's ocean stuff and a likely all CGI MM? Too much.
That's why they had the normal Hawkeye and BW in Avengers.

Christian Bale is reportedly 6 feet, and Bats is supposed to be 6' 2"...not a huge difference.
