Yes, I mean other than those things. I have no more idea how much of that stuff is real vs rehabilitation of a reputation than you do. As for the verdict, contrary to popular belief when a jury acquits a defendant they haven't found that the defendant is innocent. They've found that the prosecution failed to meet its burden of proof.

Why don't you explain the process when an affirmative defense is presented, i.e., justifiable homicide by reason of self defense, which alters both the burden of proof and the jury's finding of fact?

Because this is a football forum, not a legal symposium.
You brought the legal system into it by saying I should stand up for Ray Lewis because a jury didn't find him guilty of murder. I explained that a finding of not guilty isn't the same thing as a finding of innocence. If you want to talk about affirmative defenses, burdens of proof, and jurors' findings of fact I suggest you find a more appropriate place to do it than Gator Country.

In fairness, the non-football talk was presented by those who had an issue with something he did off the field that had nothing to do with football. Surely a non-football response is appropriate for a non-football concern.

I am no attorney, but I understand that to present a defense of justifiable homicide, the defense must stipulate to the homicide then show by a preponderance that the homicide was justifiable. If I am incorrect then please pm me so we can keep this nonsense off a sports forum.

Did everyone read this? PM would be a great idea for debates so this thread can stay on topic.

Experience will be a big factor in this game. The Ravens have that edge over the 49'ers at almost every position. Ravens will have at least one pick 6.
BALTIMORE - 34
49'ERS - 23
Book it!!

I totally agree. If we must discuss Ray "THE THUG" Lewis - please let's keep it off this thread which is about the game itself - not that DIRT BAG PUNK!

That was a drive by...
If we must discuss Ray Lewis would've been better. I'm sure if every posters private life was exposed to the world, there would be a lot of "dirt bag punks" brought to light.

Way to still get your opinion in there.
But seriously, ENOUGH. Can we actually get to the game now?

I think you have lost the battle. Or as Walt Garrett former cowboy full back said, " you are kicking a dead dog son it aint gonna get up." Oh, I think the niners will win by at least a touchdown. But, I am usually wrong.

If the Ravens defense shows up + Ray Lewis, they will win: 35-31.
