yea, I think we have some new names to learn. For a split second there I thought that was also the projected batting order.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a REALLY young line-up. Hard to believe we can be ranked #17 yet be the 8th best team in the SEC. Tough Conference...........................

It's so funny to look at the offensive stats now. Vandy is ranked #2 in the country and their entire projected starting lineup hit 23 home runs last year.

He's a true freshman and excellent switch hitter who can catch, play first or DH. I actually expect him to DH more than anything, just based on what I saw in fall practices.
And I believe it's pronounce "Sty-pull-Cow-Skee"
The first part sounds like a "sty" in your eye.

PG has us ranked 7th. I have seen 7,13,17 and 24. We are all over the place. I personally think we are in the 10-15 range, with the talent to be higher if things come together.

Thanks Mike. I knew about the other true freshmen, but Cow Skier was unfamiliar to me.

and although they didn't mention him, Taylor Ratliff is a guy who could factor into the lineup if he is granted a transfer waiver to play immediately. He has like 80 starts under his belt at Jacksonville State.
Best of all, he hit a grand slam against Florida State last season. He also has nice speed.

I hadn't heard anything about Powers moving to 1B. Is that accurate or is this guy just throwing something out there?

Powers definitely got some work at 1st. I'm sure they want to limit his throwing due to the injuries, there isn't a clear cut 1B, and I think they like his bat.

He is coming from JU...
Just curious, what is his reason to get the waiver granted?

In the BA podcast they were so high on Ratliff that they said they would have ranked us a few spots higher if he were eligible.

Not sure he's going to be declared eligible. The NCAA hasn't officially ruled yet, but it doesn't appear like it will happen. I hope I'm wrong.

OK, so I may be incorrect on this one. At least the first syllable. Heard one of the guys say "Stip" like "Stip-pull-kow-ski" yesterday. I'll ask Kevin himself the first chance I get and report back.
