Ramsey has to see the writing on the wall. If lane doesn't turn it around this year he's gone. Why someone would want to go there is beyond me; at least right now. One of the visits sure, to play for the next 3-4 years I just don't get it. The sec will put you into the NFL. Come play with the big boys!

The fact Lame is likely gone after next season actually makes USC more appealing.
They can only hire a better coach after firing Lame. Besides a CB is not affected as much by a coaching change as would a QB or WR.

I wouldn't disagree with the first sentence since Lane Kiffin is a total POS and can't coach his way out of a paper bag open at both ends, but I seriously disagree with the second sentence and the idea you're proposing in general.
Turning over your entire coaching staff while on super double secret probation after your freshman year is pretty much a guarantee your whole time in a program is going to be nothing but suck central.
Like I've said before, the USC west program is cheating now to get these high profile guys. Nothing...I mean nothing...else explains why any of them would go play for that train wreck of a coach on a team destined to suck for next four years minimum.
Kiffin was at USC when the Carrol regime started cheating and he's been lying and cheating ever since. That paper tiger is not changing his stripes.
WAKE UP JALEN!!!! Run from that turd as fast as you can.

elrongator USC doesn't need to cheat to get the guys they are getting
It also looks like Pat Hayed is on the road recruiting since USC has one less coach right now

Matt Porter @mattyports
#Bama HC Nick Saban is at Centennial today to talk to DT Jay-nard Bostwick. #Canes, #Gators hoping it goes poorly.

I respectfully disagree AZ,
USC has no chance to be even decent for the next several years. Their coach is a known lying, cheating, incapable loser whose only area of expertise is lack of sportsmanship.
Look back to the era right before "Cheat" Carrol arrived. USC was essentially irrelevant in college football and had been for nearly a decade. They were not pulling in double digit groups of five star recruits with a strong base in California athletes sprinkled with studs from the rest of the country.
Their brand name is built on cheating. They are being punished for it and will not be relevant while the punishment is carried out. I doubt seriously that Kiffin has what it takes to win at an elite level even if his team was at full strength.
Now with all of that stacked against them, they are leading the nation in 5 star recruits despite going from a preseason number one ranking to barely being a 500 ball club.
It reeks of cheating.

Kids like Kiffin Oregon and Martin etc.. so your hate for him doesn't factor in. Just because you doubt Kiffin doesnt mean that kids do.

Kiffin can get all the 5 star studs he wants, but he still sucks at coaching. Great recruiter, not so great coach.

Kids can love Kiffin all they want...that program is still going to suck for the next 3-4 years at a minimum. The results, or lack thereof, speak for themselves. He's been middle of the road or worse anywhere he has been a head coach.
It's also a fact that trouble has followed him whereever he has coached. Again, the record speaks for itself.
Under what plausible theory can an argument be made that Kiffin is somehow going to improve on this year's performance when his number of scholarship athletes is being reduced, he loses his starting QB, and has to deal with significant coaching turnover?
Sure, I think the guy is a liar, a cheater, an idiot, a loud mouth, and a seriously poor sport, but I wouldn't say I hate him personally. Just total lack of respect really.
Now, on the other hand, all the Kiffin love in the world isn't going to make him a better head coach, nor make him change his well documentable morally/ethically challenged coaching style.
My point is that I hope at least some of these kids wake up and realize what an incapable douch he really is before they sign up for his sinking ship.

Elrongator...
I feel the same way you do...
And there is a reason that I am picking Kiffy out the barrell... a barrell of other coaches out there in the college world that are under-handed... cheating... and yes, sociopatic.
There is a specific list of qualities that set the Kiffer apart from all the rest.
For example, Petrino has a history of questionable behavior with the wemin and... of jumping ship when the waves get too high. Where is Petrino now? Watch him over the next couple of years and see how he pans out.
Kiffy is different. I woiuld give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he is faithful to Reaves' daughter.
But the guy is just bratty. All of his mannerisms just oooze brattiness.
Saban is arrogant... but Kiffy is arrogant in a totally different way.
(See his antics when he called out Meyer to the Vols Boosters and Knoxville media.)
Saban would never do that... he is too smart.
Kiffy THINKS that he is smart and thinks that he can get away with whatever he wants to. And to his credit, over the years... he has done just that with the Raiders...with the Tennessee Volunteers and now with, USC.
But, as we all know...Kiffy is like a man who is treading water. He never make moral progress toward one bank of the river or... the other.
Over time... all those who tread water... drown.
And that is what we are seeing with the Kiffer over in LaLa Land.
But anyone who just watches one of Kiffy's pressers and especially an unplanned interview... has to just throw up. You catch him off guard with a question... and he's like a bad diaper on the studio set of Romper Room.
I don't care for Saban and his history of lies to the LSU faithful, the Dolphins, etc... but watch how he handles an interview. Much more class and style.
Kiffer... I feel that I am watching a middle schooler being interviewed.

Watch out for Florida State, though. They have a knack for coming out of left field to steal the show for a top prospect or two every year.
It's looking more and more like Ramsey won't sign with USC. He would take an already-top 5 class to a whole new level. Neal, Washington, Harris, Hargreaves AND Ramsey? That would easily be the best DB haul we've ever had.

Canes here in South Fla are making big deal of Alex Collins throwing up the "U" multiple times at the Duke BBall game last night. Joe Rose says he in the bag for Miami with Coley in the mix now.

Yeah, that's something you make a big deal about when you have only twelve commitments two weeks before signing day. I can't imagine...

UM fans are very optimistic that they'll get off virtually scott free from sanctions. UM had a huge class last year didn't they? Collins is so much better than anyone they have Miami, I can see why they'd be excited. (It's nauseating)
