Hate Notre Dame? Nah.
There was a thread a while back (maybe more than one) about why so many people hate Notre Dame. If anyone needs another reason, this article might help. The reason is not really the Manti Teo case, which has become extremely tiresome, but the school's handling of a reported rape. Shades of Penn State.

Notre Dame treated a rape as if it were Manti's girlfriend...i.e. didn't exist?

Not to mention they sent that poor video kid up into that tower and ultimately to his death. Quite a run for Brian Kelly at ND.
Should put into perspective our petty offenses of underage drinking, pot, driving with a suspended license, stealing tacos, throwing sandwiches, etc.

I read about this last fall. Apparantly there are two instances now.

Yes you did stop our offense very well while there but yes I was holding a grudge. From the day you got here and every time I hear you speak and your excitement about coaching our Gators, working your tale off and being a straight shooter, you are now one of my all time favorite coaches. Thanks coach.

More on the Seeberg case, including ND's side of the story:

Not just "sammiches", but paper cups! Now that's some hard core criminal activity right there!

I hate ND because they are such an arrogant group of people and because they think they're above eveyone else. The Irish haven't been relevant in thirty years yet the media fawned over their success this year to adnausem (sp?). The acc allowed ND 's entry into the acc for all sports but football but ND agreed to play five acc teams a year.WOW that's the way to boost your winning percentage!
ND's schedule was supposed to be one of the toughest in the countyr in 2012 but at the end of the day they played a bunch of teams that had very sub par seasons. Then they played a real teamand had their collective asses kicked. Wondeful!

The problem with Notre Dame is that it's all about their supposedly pristine image. They will try to protect that above all else, and it's having the exact opposite effect.

3.) local law enforcement agencies and prosecutors found no basis for pursuing a criminal investigation into this matter.
...soo...why again are people blaming ND for any of this?

It's pretty easy to make those claims when the victim is no longer around.
