Guys left on the board as of Jan 22 2013
Can someone in the know do an updated list of guys left on our board as of today so we don't have to read 1,739 posts to see where we stand with guys that are no longer targets or have gone else where? Thanks

I figured alot has changed since then. If I was in the know I might make it look like this...
First Last- position-stars-schools still in the running-% you feel that he signs with what school.

Just read around the internet and you'll get a pretty good idea. It's a pretty small list.

Per Mike Farrell's Twitter account, he's still committed to USC, plans to host coaches from USC, UF and FSU this week and should decide next week.
Frankly, I think we really need another corner.

FB: Kennard Swanson - if his grades are qualifying next week
WR: James Clark OR Ryan Timmons - 6 of one = 1/2 dozen of another
DT: Jarran Reed (Ole Miss Commit) AND Jaynard Bostwick - I'm rooting for Jarran
DE: Tashawn Bower (Committed to AU), if we kiss up 24/7, maybe - gave visit an 8
RB: Alex Collins - scUM didn't discuss coming NCAA trouble on visit
CB: Jalen Ramsey (Committed to SC) - in home with SC, UF, & FSU - decision next week
If James Hearns makes his grades and qualifying test score, he'll stay in class
We have 8 recruits for 6 slots. Three are currently committed elsewhere.
Robert Nkendiche and Montravius Adams are off riding hobby horses for another team. Elijah Daniel committed to Ole Miss and is a likely sign and place.
I'll go with 6 most likely:
1. Kennard Swanson
2. James Clark
3. Jarran Reed
4. Jaynard Bostwick
5. Alex Collins
6. Jalen Ramsey

So, it looks as though we're out of it for Powell?
Anyway, it's not a major blow if we lose Hearns and Powell. Not to minimize the loss of either, but we're golden even with just four linebackers. Like I said in another thread, with the amount of nickle we incorporate into our defense, our safeties tend to play close to the line of scrimmage, essentially giving us another LB in run support.
Even in a 3-4 set, which Muschamp likes to shift to periodically, you're really only playing three pure linebackers. The "Buck" position is more of a smallish, pass-rushing end who can be somewhat of a liability in coverage.

This will be a great class, but there will probably be more bad news than good news down the final stretch. Still disappointed about Daniel. Sounds like Hearns is gone and Clark and Ramsey are very unlikely to commit to UF. Not that excited about the other WRs and don't even know if there are other ILBs around to replace Hearns. I'd be floored if Collins committed to UF. The only guys I'm excited about that seem possible are Reed, Bostwick and maybe Bower. Getting two of those three would be a nice finish, but not spectacular.
Then again, there's always that crazy thing that happens every other year or so that comes out of the blue.

You might be disappointed about this, but I'd just forget about Reed and Bostwick. Neither appear likely. Bower is a possibility.
I'm going to say I think there is a good chance that we don't sign Hearns. I'd say 50-50 at this point. We'll probably finish with one of Clark, Timmons or Whitfield. Swanson is a possibility, and I think we have a shot at Bower. After that, I wouldn't count on much happening. Of course, with recruiting you always expect that something bizarre will happen on signing day.
We've already killed it this year. We've filled our needs, gotten great players, and this is one of the best classes the Gators have signed over the past decade. Don't let the fact that we got it done before February diminish how well we've done.

It's too soon to writeoff James Hearns. He has a couple of online class grades that will be the deciding factor.
