I'm glad I'm not recruiting Tashawn. I wouldn't have the patience to deal with a kid who needs his ego stroked to such a high level. It makes me wonder about his true willingness to consider UF or his coach ability once he's on the team. I'd be inclined to take him at his 8 visit word.

I mean, it makes sense that he wants us to recruit him hard after not really giving him the time of day early in the process. We wanted other players, he's not stupid and realizes that, and now he knows there is a reason why we want him all of a sudden. He sees the writing on the wall.
It's almost like rejecting some annoying girl who likes you as a freshman, you spend your sophomore and junior year chasing better looking girls, none of them really like you, and you wake up your senior year realizing that annoying freshman looks...really good. All of sudden "plan b" doesn't look so bad. Follow me?

I get it, I just wouldn't do it. There is no way to make up for not having recruited him sooner.

Well at least he's giving us a chance instead of writing us off.

Yea, and that "plan b" girl will work harder for you, be more dedicated and do things those other girls wouldn't dream of doing. I have no idea how that equates to football. I'm just talking about girls now.

As much as I love to see my Jersey folks play at UF, it seems like the kid has a major ego problem.

That's not a bad deal actually, I like the chances that CWM and Co recruit him harder than anyone else leading up until signing day.

If Champ really wants him sounds like he could be a Gator.

Good, I'm glad you guys realize we can't just burst onto the scene and make up for giving him the cold shoulder for the last twelve months over a period of just two weeks...without really getting down and kissing his fanny all the way up until signing day. And who's more fit to do that than Muschamp?
If he needs his ego stroked just a bit, do it. If Muschamp has to get down on all fours and bark like dog for his sig, consider it DONE. It's time to roll the red carpet out and, if losing just a bit of our self-respect in the process is what it takes to get him to fax in his LOI, well...that's just part of the process. We shall double our efforts. You follow me?

I sure do! We need another DE bad. We have had some bad luck with grades at this position. Was the kid Philips from last year a DT or DE that did not get in because of grades?

The kid was not a priority to Florida while he has been a priority to other schools. If you were about to make a huge life decision you would want to know that the place you are going actually wanted you. The staff also needs to build a relationship with him in a short amount of time

I dont think we need another DE bad but it would be nice to bring in 1 or 2 more Dlinemen. We already have 5 Dlinemen in this class. He was a DT he got lazy with his school work his last semester of high school went to UT and is no longer on the team

Ugh. All of this would be irrelevant if DeMarcus Walker's high school coach hadn't been intent on getting him anywhere but Florida.

I think we would probably still go after Bower. Bower is a SSDE/BUCK while Walker is a SSDE/DT even though he thinks he is a BUCK.

I call it a rush DE and we do need one plus another DT, hopefully ready to play Jarren Reed.
