We are missing a ton of easy shots (1-14 from the field so far) and South Carolina just made a 3 to take a 9-4 lead at the under 12 timeout.

SC 24-17 at the half. VERY ugly.
We got the offense going a little toward the end of the half, but SC is crushing us on the boards and the refs appear all to happy to let them thug it up.

That was the worst exhibition of any Gator sport I can ever remember. Maybe this team is still celebrating their.... close loss to UT..... statement game... of last week.
Coach should have benched all 5 starters and put in 5 more. Not just poor play. Stupid play in addition to inactive play.... diving for a ball out of bounds the other team clearly threw. Real friggin' bright.
Someone needs to go remove all UF, Florida and Gator markings on those uniforms if they continue this.

We don't have 5 more. All 8 in uniform have played 8+ minutes.

30-27 SC, Bonds to FT line after under 16 media TO.
Much better start to the 2nd half - in the first 4 mins we've scored more than we had 13 minutes into the 1st half.

tied it a 35, then SC goes on a 7-0 run to 42-35 with a +1 coming.

Down 45-40 with 3:44 to go. SC hasn't scored in a while but are dominating the glass and therefore time of possession.

Not often you see a team dominate the offensive boards like SC did. Ugly game for the Gators without George.
Off topic, but on TV coach looked like she has put on a few pounds. Maybe just my TV tho.

52-44 SC final.
Had a few looks from 3 to tie it when we were down 47-44, but came up empty and SC sealed it with some FTs in the final minute.
Kind of what I had expected us to look like without George prior to the UT game, but really disappointing in the context of how well we played in the 2nd half of that one.
We can probably beat Ole Miss at home Thursday without George, but going forward it's going to be tough if she remains out for an extended period.

Too many minutes with a small lineup in the game when you are getting hammered on the offensive boards. The big 6'7 McIntyre might be painfully slow and unathletic but she takes up space and gives you something around the rim w/o George. Just don't understand the substitution patterns of Butler at times.

we were mauled quite a bit under the boards. i saw one play mcintyre was literally pulled to the side to clear a lane for a gamecock drive...yet no call. thought only bama oline didn't get called for that sort of holding and pull-down. geezus.
but really, mcintyre should be used to set screens for free others, she's wasn't going to get free on some of those inbound plays.
gators did have their chances though. missed too many shots. got out-hustled on the boards on both ends.
curiously called game. i usually don't get on the refs, but i just lost it after awhile [wanted SOME home cookin' w/ the calls (underneath)]. only "body calls" were seemingly made against us which had my head shakin - especially when we were being bumped and bodied all over the place.
saw some baseball section E cohorts in the stands.
the folks that do show up, do cheer. need more rowdy reptile representation at the these games, though - would make them alot more fun to attend.
i saw they do have a 'bracket' contest between different housing units for attendance. but it didn't appear that had any appreciably effect.

bonds looked injured/hobbled for much of the 2nd half. she was helped off the court to the lockerroom by some teammates at the end. what's her status? any injury reports?
and it appears when you have an 'active' game thread, it attracts more views. so we fans of the program need to keep the posts and threads active to help build the interest - and the fanbase...

The team on the floor against S. Carolina is our team for next year, plus Peoples, Dimaite, Cooper, Bannister, and Ronni Williams.

Precisely, and that's the team expected to do pretty big things next season and beyond. Dont forget the highly ranked HS players considering UF also. Keep in mind this years record is already better then last years with a ton of talented freshman and a bunch of injuries. And the UT game was also a good indicator of the teams direction. UT happens to be ranked in the nations Top 5. Keep the faith.
