Yes, Deonte said "real quarterback", but when you see it in context (there is or was video of his comment) it is clear that he was saying that as a synonym for "traditional" or drop-back QB.
Fowler absolutely spun it out of that context into a false cheap shot on Tebow, trying to stir up a controversy that wasn't there. Meyer was right to confront him. He did lose it and apologized later for the aggression, but his point was spot on.
Never met anyone who got into UF, but not SOW. Met a lot who got into SOW and not UF, though.
