Billy Martin's death. The truck he was riding in crash landed in his own driveway after losing control on an icy hairpin turn uphill from his house.

1) The Rex Ryan foot fetish video - we didn't need to see him drooling over his wife's feet.
2) The Rex Ryan tatoo.. The tatoo of his wife wearing nothing but Mark Sanchez's jersey.
3) Rex Ryan not playing Tim.
4) Woody Johnson not firing Rex Ryan.
I guess my top 4 choices all have a common theme for 'bizarness"

Gotta go with Tonya Harding. Wasn't the skate off the most watched sporting event in US history including the Super Bowl. I think it still might be.

The "Rocky Balboa" movie tops them all. Rocky was hard enough to believe, but Rocky X.

I think you're right, and that it was a psycho-fan of German tennis player Steffi Graf that did it.

Well, I think what you are referring to was Rice's Dickie Maegel coming off the sideline to tackle Alabama's Tommy Lewis after he broke lose on a sweep play in the Cotton Bowl. Alabama was awarded a touchdown on the play.

Rosie Ruiz at the 1980 Boston Marathon was about as bizarre as it gets.

I love that Gator Flop. We out-caned the Canes with the Flop and the dive into the fountain afterward. Nothing they have ever done during their entire thug life existence has come close to topping that for rubbing it in and stomping on it.

A quarterback with a unique and valuable skill set and no history of trouble with women, alcohol, drugs or violence who probably belongs in the top 20 quarterbacks available today is told there's nowhere for him to play in a league that has nearly 100 quarterbacks on its rosters.

For me, it was when Tanya Harding dated Manti Te'o...

I think Harding owns the top spot. In addition to the knee beating, you may recall that she was nearly disqualified for not coming out to the ice on time due to a broken shoe lace, then quit and skated off the ice after her first attempt at a jump.

I think the way for the Cubs to break their jinx is to laugh in its face. Have a Steve Bartman forgiveness day. Bring him back and let him throw the first pitch and sit in the same place he sat when he became famous. Bring back Leon Durham as well and throw in a black cat and a goat. Can't hurt to try. Nothing else has worked.

If it happened today, the play would stand.

He won't do that. He refuses to talk about it.

1. Dwayne Schintzius' mullet.
2. At Vanderbilt, Schintzius makes 2 free throws with 2 seconds left to send the game into overtime after someone threw a tennis ball onto the court. UF won the SEC that season by one game over Vandy.
RIP Dwayne. You were one of the most interesting athletes to ever play for UF.
