Congrats to all for their work toward degrees and for hanging in there due to injury that eliminated some from playing. Anyone seen Patchan or where he might wind up?

At least a third of every recruiting class, who initially look good on paper, just don't make it on the field. That's life in the recruiting world.

Maybe we need to check out Bama's "analysts" who study every HS player of interest and their strengths/weaknesses before recruiting them. Even Meyer said on the NC game telecast that Bama seems to have better players than everyone else.

One thing for sure, Bama seems to develop their players better than everyone else.

And when Debose runs across the end zone (:19 second mark), guess who's there to dap him up?

I have no stock in Alli, just hate it when people sitting behind a keyboard cut down good, honest, hardworking kids who've been dedicated to the program.
Good Posting! There is a lot that goes into winning or losing a football game. Much of the glory goes to the guy holding the ball.

Alli should've been on an academic scholarship. Dude was quite a mathlete coming out of high school.

Wonder if they're being politely encouraged to transfer because Muschamp knows he can fill 33 spots this year?

I don't mean that to sound rude, but it's a valid question.

I know it makes our team better. And the Bama system seems to be working fine. But if a high senior signs with the Gators and wants to be a Gator, because the coach made a mistake on his over-all ability I don't like the fact that they are "encouraged' to leave. If they want to stay Gators then they should stay.

Muschamp said Alii will remain with the program working in the front office or weight room. Johnson graduated and wants to play elsewhere. Jordan is on hardship. I don't think there are any shifting shadows with this stuff.

I agree with you to an extent, but I just don't think it's as black and white as that. My feelings would change depending on conduct, overall attitude, etc. but yes, if the encouragement is strictly based on talent level and the coaches didn't evaluate right, then I think it's wrong.

But like rserina said, these 3 incidences don't bother me. 2 graduated and the other will still be on scholarship, so they will all get what they were 'promised', a free education at the University of Florida.

Alli was big and fast....was a great blocker on both special teams and on the flanks going all the way back to the Meyer days.

could never understand why he never became a receiving threat.

I think with Alii it was just a system issue. He was recruiting for the U/Y inside spot in our old system, but moving to more two receiver looks the last few years has hurt him. He came to the game sort of late and never had the route running skills you need at this level to some degree.

Always very happy to see guys graduating, I hope Jordan continues with his school and leaves with a degree, well done to Alli and Johnson.

I don't think Alli started playing football until he transferred to Proctor and repeated his sophomore year of high school. He was a D1 prospect in both track and basketball, but seemed to have a better future in football. He did well enough in school that he was able to reclassify and enter UF without going one more year at Proctor, so he basically had only two years of football in his life. He might have had a better chance at UF if he'd waited a year. The scholarship was there either way. Nice to know he's sticking around to work in the office.
