Sometime during the 2015 season Coach Donovan will pass Dale Brown for #2 in wins at an SEC school. 49 more wins does that.

I was trying to estimate when that might be and it could happen early in the 2014-2015 season.

Tgood, I feel the same way, great team victory, that includes the coaches. Billy D closing in on Dale Brown then on to passing Adolph. Whoooooweeeee!
When this team plays unselfish, defends and blocks out, the sky is the limit.
We are lucky Billy and family have embraced Gainseville and is working on his coaching resume! Hopefully he finishes his career in Gainseville and is the Dean of the SEC.
Thanks Coach for all you do and the kids that have stayed 3 and 4 years. Our steady play comes from players that have learned to defend and play unselfish, experience. Even Mike Rosario got a number of assists today and has learned being unselfish sometimes helps the team.
ON OUR WAY!

Yes, a terrific coach and person.
By the way, Adolph Rupp had a grand total of 876 victories at Ky over a 41 year period.
Interestingly, when he was a high school coach in Illinois at Freeport High School (1926-1930), he started the first African American to play for the school on his team, a fellow who later became the 2nd African American to graduate from the school. This is really interesting, because my first recollection of Rupp was when his all white Ky team played the all Black Texas Western team in the 1966 NCAA championship game. Of course, at that time, in the SEC, no one recruited Black athletes, because of the Hitlarian White Supremist insanity, and they were pretty much only allowed to work as Janitors, if that.
Of course, in those days, teams played far fewer games than today, which gives more recent coaches a rather huge Leg up on compiling wins.
