Bradley Beal is on fire lately
Averaging 20.8 points, with 3.4 3-pointers a game to go with 3.6 assists and 3.4 boards. He's also shooting 53% from the floor, 68% from 3, and 81% from the line.
Meanwhile during that stretch, the Wizards are 4-1 with wins over Oklahoma City, Atlanta, and Denver. Even more impressive when you consider how on fire OKC and DEN have been lately, with the Denver win coming on the road.
Certainly doesn't hurt that they got John Wall back after the OKC game. They could actually be a pretty good team next year with another piece or two.

sounds like they're dangling him for rudy gay because washington is just that stupid. While gay is a nice player, I sure know who I'd take for the rest of their respective careers

There have been numerous reports that Washington was interested in Gay, but that Beal would NOT be part of any deal for him. It seems like a Washington thing to do (think young Chris Webber for old Mitch Richmond trade or young Rip Hamilton for old Jerry Stackhouse trade), but apparently they weren't willing to give up Beal. Other reports were that the Wizards turned down a proposed trade from OKC that would have sent Beal for Harden, obviously before the trade to Houston. The Wizards really like Beal.

Well, it was Billy D who said that Beal was the "Best" player he ever recruited. I mean, think about that from history:
Mike Miller
Noah
Horford
Brewer
Haslem
etc.,
etc..
That is quite a statement to make

Sweet. I'm going to the Wizards vs. Clippers game tonight so I'll get to watch Brad in person.

Would be a great game to see.
I actually think the Wizards selection of Beal was un-wizards like. I have hope that they're handling personelle decisions differently now and are headed in a good direction. If the last 5 games are any evidence (small sample size), Beal's taken a lot of the scoring pressure off of Wall.

Wall looked more impressive last night - definitely the take charge guy on that team.
Beal had a decent game, but really wasn't a great night for him. Wiz almost pulled it out.
Wall got called for a carry late in the game though which kind of ruined the ending.

Beal's game and the Wizards' success have improved considerably since John Wall returned to the line-up. The Wizards have a good long-term backcourt unless the Wiz personnel management somehow figure out a way to screw it up.

We'd easily be considered the best team in the country.
