It's a relief to know that I've never been imagined in your brain. I feel better. Thanks

Sad day. I like Herman but he is just not that good on the radio.
That said this thread has been entertaining as it is apparent one poster does not like the "painful truth" Boortz brought. Some just don't like to accept reality and really don't like hearing it...

He has a good heart: Boortz, an Angel Flight volunteer, uses his plane to ferry cancer and transplant patients to hospitals around the Southeast. His wife, Donna, does volunteer work in hospices; she's part of an organization, the American Leprosy Mission, that delivers medicine and hope to the afflicted..........
Boortz claims to have donated 100% of his royalties from the FairTax book to charity and has commented on his radio show that he has not made one cent from the book.[20] As of July 2006, Boortz claims his charitable donations from book proceeds exceed one hundred thousand US dollars.[20].

Cain won't last a month, but at least we'll all feel better about him not getting elected president.

You really are off the mark here Rowe.
First of all Boortz calls himself an entertainer. He is no different than Chris Rock is with TV as he is with radio. They both know that ratings is the bottom line.
Second Boortz is a Libertarian. He skewers the Liberal Dems and the Conservative Repubs.

I really like Boortz until 9/11 revealed what an aggressive warmonger he is. He is no libertarian in the area of foreign policy.

Those who feed from the public trough are glad he's gone. Those "paying for the feed and protection" of the public trough feeders, have one less voice. Fortunately when our voice's retire, they are not dependent on taxpayers for their existence nor do they need to extort money from guvmint or business to pay for their planes, trains, autos and vacations.

One source of pablum goes away and it's quickly replaced with another.
Perhaps they can get Dick Morris and his awesome predictions after Cain gets busted harassing someone.

The usual suspects once again showing their ass in yet another thread. Boortz was an equal opportunity offender.

I have not read this thread as I figure it will be filled with vitriol from the libs- Neal got to do something he loved for a long long time-very few people anymore get to make their living doing something they truly love- I wish him well in his semi retirement
Boortz is a Libertarian

Actually I find him to be objective and rational in his thought process. He has gone after the right, especially on abortion and the legalization of pot. I would consider him a fiscal conservative and social liberal much like a majority of Americans. His stance on how Obama has handled the economy through the expansion of government, and deficit increase is very agreeable. His insight will be missed. Can't blame him for his statements on the condition of this Country, it has been hijacked by the mooching class which intends to feed off the wealthy.

If I miss this episode, I will have missed all of them.
Self over nation, when we have kids making the ultimate sacrafice in war, is the Bendict Arnold way after all.
He sold out the nation for money, are you doing it also.

Sorry north but I don't like "entertainers" who thrive on paranoia and hatred. In the times I've heard him - I drive around in my job and would occasionally tune in - I have heard him say some things that were occasionally smart, somethings occasionally dumb, and mostly poisonous nonsense about 1/2 the population and craziness about his perceived political enemies. His shtick is vitriol. Good riddance.

I can't help but remember the three or four times I have listened to Neal do his pledge drive for that children's cancer hospital and know how much of his own earned wealth he has put into it and wonder... if we pulled a dozen names of any contemporaries on the left he has, how many of them would have to love their entire lives a second or third time to voluntarily do as much for others in time or in money as Boortz in any one or two given years. And I could throw a lot of their elected leaders in their too.
