Those guys never set up a ball screen at the end of the clock. That was my point. Donovan definitely ran plays for Brewer at the end of games because we was the only guy on that team (at least in 05-06) who could get his shot off the bounce.

Wright and Werner were threes recruited to play the three or four, as were Mitchell, Parsons, to a lesser degree Lee, Prather, even Yeguete. There is more carryover from the three to the four than there is from the five to the four, or else you would see more fives sliding to the four than threes. Not sure what the argument is here that I am "reaching" to substantiate. What role do you see the four playing in our offense?

And Brewer yo-yo'd his way around the floor to hit circus jumpers and flew down the court for transition dunks. Those guys did not fit the system as well as other incarnations under Donovan, but they brought unique skills to the table, Donovan adapted things to suit them, and the kids bought into them.

The fact that we had two NBA quality bigs in the paint and - especially - that both were terrific passers made the difference. You had to double team them, but they were amazing finding the open man, which might be the other big or might be one of the wing players.
