Their first and so far ONLY appearance came in 1998 when Chris Chandler was the quarterback. Jamal Anderson and the "dirty bird" were alive and well. Eugene Robinson infamously was arrested for soliciting prostitution from an undercover officer the night before the Superbowl in Miami (I think he even got an award for high moral character shortly before his arrest). He played in the game, the team said they weren't distracted, but it had to be a distraction, and they lost to horseface Elway and the Broncos.

Disagree. I think the falcons are soft. 49ers are going to punch them right in the mouth. I like Matty ice, but this defense is stout; very well coached all around actually. Jmo

The Falcons took care of The favorite boys in the Seahawks whom have one of the best defenses in the league. I wouldn't call them soft by no means

I'm probably one of the few UF alum on the boards here that are from the San Francisco Bay Area originally, but I grew up watching the 49ers and they'll always be my team. I should bust out my old Jerry Rice jersey this weekend.

I received my Jan. 21st issue of Sports Illustrated a few days ago. Kaepernick is on the cover with this caption:
"Shout It From The Mountaintop, Jim - You Were Dead On About Colin Kaepernick."
And a good article on page 38 by Austin Murphy:
"O.K., Now We Get It."

As a Giants fan, I wasn't expecting to have to watch this matchup on championship Sunday (the second best football day of the year after Jan.1). If I had to side one way, I'd probably go with Atlanta. But I'll be ok whoever wins if it is as competitive and as exciting as the Bal-Den & Sea-Atl games last weekend.

Plus, they ran over the team that demolished the Niners just a few weeks ago.
Additionally, the Ravens physically beat down the Niners last year. So, while the Niners may win, I wouldn't exactly call them tough.
