ESPN is reporting that a former NFL FB met the exact same girl introduced by the exact same guy BEFORE Manti was involved so it is possible that the guy who scammed Manti tried the same scam before.

The former NFL player actually said he met the girl in person.

He is, essentially, backing up Tao's outrageous story although, so far, none of Tao's ND teammates are coming to his defense which is damning.

Tao went over board in interviews. I have to believe he talked to some female on the phone at least some but every night until they both fell asleep? That is gay to begin with.

He is also quoted as saying she is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. That needs to be explained. Was he talking about pictures? He added in the next sentence "not her physical beauty" ... okay so how was she beautiful then?

He needs to speak out soon to explain himself. The longer he waits the worse it gets if that is even possible.

I hate to break this to you but there's a slight fact error in your post. lol. In the infamous Writing for Mass Communications class you're talking about, a fact error was not a zero but you lost 50 points for it. So you failed that particular assignment but it didn't totally destroy your average for the whole course. Lords knows there were plenty of opportunities to make it up on the 5 million other assignments. That was one of those classes that looked to be interesting and fun in the course catalog but was anything but.

to ...

"It was a person I befriended online that I talked to a couple times."

This in of itself is a lie. Phone companies will cut off a phone call after a predetermined time on all phone calls. It would not live a "line active" all night. It (cut off time) is programmed into there switching platforms.

The 50 point thing here is right, but there were two relevant classes. Writing for Mass Communication, which was an intro class for anyone who wanted to major in one of the fields controlled by the College of Journalism and Communication (journalism, advertising, public relations) and then Introduction to Reporting. Both had 50-point smackdowns for fact errors, but Intro to Reporting was the class that killed a thousand GPAs.

Here are some starters:

1) Why didn't you visit her after she was in a horrible accident?

2) Did you really talk on the phone with someone every night like you said you did?

3) Why didn't you go to her funeral?

4) Have you ever met the person that acted as your girlfriend?

5) If not, why?

#2 can be easily verified through phone records but since this is not a criminal investigation he would have to voluntarily provide that info. Also, what address were those white roses mailed to? What cancer treatment center was she a patient of? There is no way a nurse would allow a phone to be off the hook all night of a cancer patient or even for more than a few mins at a time. They are in and out of the room all day. He simply can't be this naive.
