Darnit! Just read this post so looked on SG to see Quinn was gone. My perception is that our D was so good because of Quinn. This seems like a big blow, can someone assuage my fears?

Quinn is good, but it's Muschamp's defense and Durkin is more than ready to take over. Better still, Durkin and Young are the most active recruiters on defense.

Good to hear that Quinn is sticking around to help recruit. That says a lot to the prospects. Here's an NFL defensive coach coming the player's home to tell him and his parents why he should go to UF.

That's really encouraging to hear. And as (I think) you are implying, it might actually make his recruiting efforts even more effective. He's gone from a direct sales pitch to a testimonial, and people can often be more receptive to the latter, especially when coming from an authority figure.

FWIW, Mike Farrell (over at Rivals) predicted that Ramsey would sign with the Gators. He has a lot of good input, and I think he has the right perspective on recruiting.

Still, I believe FSU is replacing one-if not both-of their corners, and can offer Ramsey the ability to come in and start immediately. He'll have to wait at least a year to do that here, so you would think that would give them a shot to land him. Hopefully he ends up in orange and blue.
