Also, congrats to Dan Quinn. He's a good guy, did a great job while he was here, and always gave maximum effort. Couldn't have asked for anything better

Now Pete Carroll is his new boss.
How will this impact our recruiting? Who will we lose now?

It will probably someone CWM knows I wonder if a guy like Travis Jones from New Orleans has enough experience for CWM. George Edwards would me another name to look at but Foley might not like that name

Are there any recruits we should worry about losing? It seems like most of the defensive guys were close to Bryant Young, T Rob, and Muschamp before Quinn. Not to say Quinn didn't do a good job recruiting

CWM should take the position until he can find a home run hire, which may be unlikely at this point in the year. Having Champ as his own DC does two things: solidifies the recruiting class, he's a better college DC than Quinn, and it helps keep the HC/DC off of the OC's headset during games.

We can certainly weather losing Quinn, but losing Pease would be a disaster.

Congrats to Coach Quinn. That's a promotion that nobody could begrude him back at his old hunting ground.

Personally I'd like to see a promotion from within, not just for continuity's sake and recruiting but because I think our D doesn't need an overhaul with a new coaching scheme.
Any way that Durkin might get a look? 3 seasons now working the ST/LBs...

I dont think we will lose any recruits over this but you never know. If someone leaves they already had one foot out of the door anyway. Quinn is not known as an ace recruiter. Quinn is known as one of the best defensive line coaches in football.
