example of why I respect firemen,police,military,nurses,etc more than pro athletes

this is in Siberia...but firemen in the U.S. and foreign countries encounter threats to their own lives as they are striving to help others.
This sort of selflessness is characteristic of firemen, police, military, nurses, teachers, etc.

And damn few pro athletes are worthy of respect. though some, such as Pat Tillman are worthy of the honorific 'hero'
