I think Jones being picked up rather quickly by our staff was a sign that they had an idea that Elijah wouldn't make it in.

Hatcher may not visit anymore. Scheduled to do so next weekend.

I don't know who we get out of that list, I thought Daniel was a slam dunk. Nkemdiche is the longest of long shots, and the others I don't know about either. I read that Hatcher may not make it to his visit, and Jones and Bower are ?'s as well

I'm glad we're (likely) getting this kid. He'll count as another flip. It would be awesome to run a 2 FB-1 RB backfield at some point this year.

There is a scroll of tweets on Rec Nation stating that that UF should be happy that Quinn helped Young (coach) out at the DL pos. Is Quinn gone?????His name is Jeff Barlis.........I guess he works for ESPN.

ESPN Insider is reporting this about Chris Jones:

"One SEC school appears to be out of the running for defensive end Chris Jones. The No. 46 prospect in the country, who is committed to Mississippi State, told Florida coaches they need not visit him this week as previously planned."

Elijah Daniel didn't make grades. He will not be visiting and he will not have any in-homes. Sad, because if he did make grades and we were to take that in-home visit, he would have been Gator seconds later. Kid has talent, hope he gets into a good school, somewhere.

I haven't read anywhere that Robert Nkemdiche isn't visiting. As far as I know at this point, from things I have seen on twitter and other places, looks like he is taking his visit. It's more than likely only a visit and nothing more, though. Landing him would be huge, but there's some hurdles to overcome.

I still think we'll land another DE. I really think that if we got Jarran Reed we could use him at both DE and DT and have room in the class to pick up another DT like Montravius Adams or Jaynard Bostwick... I think it's safe to say though, any DT we take up until NSD will see early time.
