Diego Hidalgo has been added to the roster per Gatorzone. Hopefully this is a a big plus and he can contribute right away.

Just realized Spencer Newman is also on the roster. Welcome back.

Wonder what Newmans eligibility situation is? Played at Michigan in the fall and now comes back, strange situation.

Hidalgo should be a huge plus. Notice he is listed as a sophomore, not sure why he lost a year of eligibility.

Gatorzone article mentions two players will have to sit out the spring season - surely those 2 are Newman and Hidalgo.

Can't confirm it, but Hidalgo likely lost a year and will have to spend a year in residence due to his age - turning 20 in April - NCAA tennis has recently passed a sport-specific rule that players must enroll within 6 months of HS graduation (or international equivalent) with strict penalties.

I find the return of Newman odd in nature. I guess he simply had a problem with Jackson.

As I stated on the Swamp Gas forum, before I realized this forum was where tennis posts should be placed, Spencer Newman will not be eligible until January of 2014. Diego Hidalgo's eligibility is not finalized as of yet, but most probably he also will have to wait a year to compete.
